For best results, we recommend removing the component from the vehicle. Next, thoroughly clean the component with ColorBond prep cleaner. All silicons and conditioners must be removed prior to application. If you’re refinishing hard trim such as door panels, pillars, consoles, or anything metal, be sure to apply a thin coat of ColorBond adhesion promoter. This will improve bonding and prepare hard surfaces for the color application. Adhesion promoter is not necessary for soft trim and leather.
Now that the surface is clean and completely dry, you can apply your first coat of LVP Refinisher. We recommend that you start by applying LVP to a small area – to ensure the color matches as desired. 2-3 mist coats might be necessary. LVP dries to the touch in about 45 seconds. We recommend waiting 10 minutes between applications to ensure proper bonding time.
