Mercedes Interior Restoration

Geoff was dealing with a common problem of the Mercedes SLK 320; the rubber coating on the plastic interior components was peeling and looked horrible. The hard part was removing the remaining coating from the dash, console, door panels and other plastic interior trim. The easy part was applying ColorBond LVP Refinisher. Ten light coats brought the interior panels from black to red. Four cans of ColorBond LVP Refinisher were used, along with a can of Adhesion Promoter, and a bottle of Cleaner. The total came to $89.00. A professional interior restoration would have cost thousands.

Sheri at first wasn’t comfortable with the idea of using paint on the seat of her golf cart, but after coming across an article that demonstrated ColorBond, she decided to give it a try. Sheri says “I’m by no means a professional, but I found the product easy to use and the results are great. It worked so well”. The total cost came to $56.42 which included 1 bottle of Prep Cleaner and 3 cans of LVP Refinisher. To professionally upholster the golf cart, it would have cost several hundred dollars.

Convertible Top Restoration

Steve owns The Dye Guy, a company he founded in 2007 which specializes in reconditioning leather, vinyl and plastic repair on automobiles, planes, boats and RV’s. To avoid “tiger stripes” on large surfaces Steve prefers to use spray guns to apply LVP Refinisher. So, rather than using the aerosol form he used LVP Refinisher concentrate. “I was skeptical and thought it wasn’t going to look right. But it turned out great and made a big difference.” Says Steve.
