The Many Uses of ColorBond
Posted on December 19 2019

ColorBond Paints aren’t just for automotive applications, they’re perfect for a variety of projects. Click here to check out this “vintage” ColorBond commercial that shows their myriad of uses!
Here are some out of the ordinary ColorBond projects we’ve covered over the years.
Golf Cart Refurbishment
ColorBond’s Pro Tech Line was created to restore and customize automotive components like trim, wheels and engine compartments, and is great for the DIY or Professional. ColorBond Pro Tech Trim Color auto trim paint is great for wheel flairs, mirrors, window trim, door trim, and bumpers. Primarily metallic paints, they have been created to match OEM finishes on a wide range of exterior components and can also be used on interior hard plastic metallic finished trim. ColorBond Pro Tech Trim Color auto trim paint is easy to use and provides a beautiful, durable and long-lasting finish. Check out this golf cart which was refurbished using black Pro Tech Trim Color paint. Click here for the full story.
You’ll see they also changed the golf cart seat color using ColorBond LVP Refinisher interior paint.

Renewed Boat Bolsters
Using only one can of Sea Ray white boat refinishing paint our friend Inez Tate really put some new life into his boat bolsters. Check out these before/after photos. What normally would cost about $350 to replace now looks new for only $16.50. Amazing savings!

Mobile Upholstery Repair
Buzz Williams, owner of The Fixer, a mobile upholstery repair business operating in central Alabama has been using ColorBond LVP Refinisher for over 12 years. He started using ColorBond to refurbish used car interiors and later expanded to offer upholstery repair services to moving companies, furniture sales companies, marine dealers, and homeowners. Of course, he used ColorBond with them as well. ColorBond is at least equal to or better than modern furniture finishes. I have used a couple of other car interior paint brands before. With ColorBond the appearance and durability are much better. As well, a I get the best results with the least amount of effort compared to the others. Which improves customer satisfaction. Plus, the time saved with ColorBond increases efficiency and profit.

Chris Craft Restoration
Robert Larsen used six total cans of Vette Red and Sea Ray Cutty white to restore the dash and cushions of his 1960 Chris Craft 17-foot Sportsman. Red is especially prone to fading so this is perfect to show how ColorBond can bring the material back to pristine condition. He spent under $100 for what normally would cost thousands! People can't believe that everything on his boat is still 100% original and that ColorBond helped him restore the original glory. They all assume he bought replacement parts!
