This BMW Grill was Painted with ColorBond LVP Refinisher!

Anthony Dixon purchased his 2011 BMW 335i convertible a just a few months ago but is already showing us a new and exciting way to restyle it. “Everybody else paints their BMW grilles and wheels black or go with chrome wheels when they are restyling their BMW’s. I wanted to do something different.” states Anthony.
Anthony decided to paint the grill to authentically match his red interior and plans to paint the wheels and other trim the same color as well. But first the grill. Anthony had a previous unsatisfactory experience using another brand of trim paint that required multiple thin coats and took a long time to dry. So, he decided to search for a better paint option. “I came across the ColorBond website and saw the great results people were achieving. So, I decided to try their paint and ordered a can of ColorBond LVP Refinisher in the correct OEM BMW Coral Red.”
Anthony prepared the grill by sanding, cleaning, and then painting with a self-leveling primer. He then applied the ColorBond. “The paint had excellent coverage – I didn’t have to apply many coats like the other paint. It also filled in small imperfections (which reduces sanding prep time) and dried quickly. I then sprayed on a clearcoat. Overall, the job only took a few hours. ColorBond is a product that works as claimed.” Anthony concludes.
Of note; the red, light blue and dark blue colors on the grill slats are covers Anthony purchased.
