Golf Cart Interior Paint to the Rescue

Sheri Krentz and her husband wanted to make their bland Yamaha golf cart more exciting and turned to ColorBond golf car interior paint. Originally purchased used from a local golf course with a white body and beige interior, the cart was restyled to blue with a black interior. What a difference it made!

Before

Sheri wasn’t familiar with techniques for changing the color of the upholstery. So, she went online and searched “refinishing a golf cart seat” and came across a previous ColorBond article on doing just that. “I decided to use ColorBond. My husband was skeptical about using a paint on upholstery, but it turned out great” says Sheri.

The Krentz’s started the interior project using a vinyl glue to fix cracks and then cleaned the upholstery with ColorBond Prep Cleaner. Next, they applied three coats of ColorBond LVP Refinisher in OEM correct BMW Black (#258). Sheri says she ordered three cans of the golf cart interior paint and used about 2 ½ on the project. The total cost for one bottle of Prep Cleaner and three cans of LVP Refinisher came to a total of $56.42. In comparison, reupholstering the golf cart would have cost several hundred dollars.

After

“I’m by no means a professional, but I found the product easy to use and the results are great. It worked so well” Sheri concludes.

Congratulations to the Krentz’s on a job well done!
