About to restore the inside of a Chevy Silverado with new seat cover replacements, carpet, and headliner. Want the dash and all other plastic pieces to look new. Is there a way to figure out how much paint I need because I don’t want to be half way through and have to stop to order more and have to wait on it.
Two questions: In painting trim, is the final clearcoat necessary? I noticed you are out of stock on the matte finish. Also, do you have any products that can fill dings in the panel or would you be able to recommend what to use? Please see the photo for reference. Thx!
1. A Clear coat is used to provide more protection to areas that are touched often. ColorBond does recommend a clear coat. The out of stock item is expected to be back in stock mid-February. 2. ColorBond does not have a repair kit for missing pieces of a substrate. You may want to check out interior paint forums, they tend to have the type of information you are looking for.
Currently ColorBond does not have that color in Lexus. If you would like to search the Holda colors, there are several shades of tan that might work for your project.
My 2000 S10 interior color code is Medium Pewter. Do you know which of your two Medium Pewters would be closest? I plan on painting every interior piece of a standard cab 2000 Chevrolet S10 – All dash panels, door panels, knee bolster, glove box, pillars. How much of each would I need – prep, paint, clear coat? What gloss clear coat is closest to factory? Thanks
Hi there! I have a 2005 Ford F350 Super Duty, the VIN search yields an interior code of YB which comes up as Flint. However, my door panels are two toned. I have a 2002 ford f350 it has a 2 tone gray interior I know that the main color is medium flint. What is the second color? Is it dark flint? Thank you

I have a 2001 Toyota Avalon XL with a leather interior and am looking to paint the leather steering wheel and shifter. The exterior is beige and the interior is a tan/ivory/beige like color, most likely Ivory based on the typical leather colors for the year. When I enter in my vehicle, it shows two Ivory options, “Toyota Ivory 3” and “Toyota Ivory”. Which one is the closest one for my vehicle? The interior trim code in the door says LF01.
I am not sure I understand your question. I feel we can answer your question better by speaking with you, please call the office at 815-895-9101. However, yes there are two Toyota colors for Toyota. The newer of the two colors is Toyota Ivory 3. Is your vehicle a Toyota or are you trying to match a GMC / Ford color? You also mention Ford Medium Light Stone, ColorBond Paint # 333.
The best way to match color is by your VIN #. Have you contacted your local dealer to inquire about the name of the color that was use in your interior when the vehicle was manufactured. Our colors correspond to the COLOR NAME of the vehicles. Did the Dealership tell you that Light Stone the color that was used when your car was manufactured? Once again please call the office for additional assistance.

Will the adhesion promoter be needed on leather, will it help make the paint stay on car leather better? Can you also use UV clear coat on car seat leather, does it protect the leather? Thank you for your time!
There is an eight step process when working with leather. The clear coat Clear delivers an eye-catching finish while preserving leather, vinyl and plastic. Often described by our customers and the best interior protectant that they’ve encountered, ColorBond Dash Clear UV Protectant is great for both automotive maintenance and restoration. https://www.colorbondpaint.com/wp-content/themes/colorbond/images/leather-substrates.pdf

How do I know how many cans of paint and clear coat I would need. I have a 1999 tacoma prerunner extended cab that I want to redo my whole interior in black. Also I need to touch up parts of my door panels in my 2014 honda civic. I have no clue how many cans of paint and clear coat I door need.
To calculate the number of cans per project, we have a grid to give you an approximate number of cans per project. To find the exact amount, you would need to calculate the square footage. LVP customers tend to use 2-3 coats on a project. A clear coat is one to two coats. Please click on the help & support tab on our website and there will be information regarding “how much paint do I need”, for additional information.
The LVP line has many tan colors that could be called a “Saddle”. I am not familiar with the Chevelle Saddle. Take a look at the tan and brown color families.
2 things cant seem to order this stuff on this site, also if I can figure it out to change color of my leather seat covers all I need is prep and paint??
The prep cleaner is expected back in stock mid-June. The “paint only” option will allow you to add the LVP to the cart. The best way to find the original color of your interior is to call your local dealer. Provide them with your VIN#. You will need the COLOR NAME (not the number) to match up to the LVP Line. If you have any questions, please call the office.
We do not have the specific code for vehicles. You can use our vehicle lookup tool to search by your particular vehicle to see our available color options to find one that best matches.
I have a 1995 Camry LE wagon, gray interior. A few tears on top of the window vinyl where dog scratched with her claws while looking out….and sun. Another online company told me to use their ‘medium moonmist’ (according to the vin# I sent them). After using a filler then the new paint, it’s very different to the original color which against the color of the dash and other parts of the interior not faded by the sun was still quite close before the new paint.
Been slowly modifying my interior with red accents (steering wheel, gauge cluster dash cover, and middle door cards). If you’re on the fence and don’t mind taking interior trim and parts off to paint, I encourage you to take the plunge!
F150 Opal gray – the only opal gray we have that comes up for this vehicle is under the auto touch up colors that are not yet available, sorry for the inconvenience.
Do you make this product for indoor furniture? I have a light tan leather couch with worn out spots, and though it might be hard to match the color, seems like your product might help repair it.

I plan on painting every interior piece of a standard cab 2000 Chevrolet S10 – All dash panels, door panels, knee bolster, glove box, pillars. How much of each would I need – prep, paint, clear coat? What gloss clear coat is closest to factory? Thanks

Below is the link to the Medium Peweter in GM. A vehicles color can fade over time. ColorBond paint is the OEM color when a vehicle was manufactured. I would suggest purchasing one can to confirm that is the color you need for your project. https://www.colorbondpaint.com/product/lvp-bundle/?colorpicker=yes&bundle_attribute_pa_make_1=gm&bundle_attribute_pa_color_1=gm-medium-dark-pewter-ii

i have a 1992 ford f150 with the dark grey interior . Do you have lvp paint to match it?
Upvote if this was helpful (0) Downvote if this was not helpful (0) Watch Unwatch Flag for removal
Answer
ColorBond –
The best way to match your color is by your VIN#.
Call your local car dealership and ask them for the color name that was used when your car was manufactured.
Many times, they would like to give you a color #, but you want the COLOR NAME.
That name will match up to the ColorBond Paint name.
Please keep in mind that the existing interior colors will fade at various degrees due to age.
ColorBond paint matches the original color which was used when your vehicle was manufactured.
Therefore, we cannot guarantee to match the current color of your interior color if fading has occurred.

Please call the office to talk about your project and the colors needed. To purchase the exact color that was used when your car was manufactured, the VIN # is needed. If you want a basic blue, GM has a blue and Sea Ray has a bright white and an off white.

Answer

To calculate the number of cans per project, we have a grid to give you an approximate number of cans per project. To find the exact amount, you would need to calculate the square footage. LVP customers tend to use 2-3 coats on a project. A clear coat is one to two coats. Please click on the help & support tab on our website and there will be information regarding “how much paint do I need”, for additional information.

2 things cant seem to order this stuff on this site, also if I can figure it out to change color of my leather seat covers all I need is prep and paint??
Upvote if this was helpful (0) Downvote if this was not helpful (0) Watch Unwatch Flag for removal
Answer
ColorBond –
The prep cleaner is expected back in stock mid-June. The “paint only” option will allow you to add the LVP to the cart. The best way to find the original color of your interior is to call your local dealer. Provide them with your VIN#. You will need the COLOR NAME (not the number) to match up to the LVP Line. If you have any questions, please call the office.

Do you make this product for indoor furniture? I have a light tan leather couch with worn out spots, and though it might be hard to match the color, seems like your product might help repair it.

Answer
ColorBond –
Yes, this would work on a leather coach or other indoor furniture. It won’t repair it, though. It would freshen up the color though.
